Privacy Policy

Propgest is the business name of Alvaro Silvestre Herrada, a sole trader established in Ireland. For anything about your data, write to team@getpropgest.com.

Propgest is a tool for landlords and letting agencies to organise the properties they own or manage: tenancies, rent, repairs, documents and rental enquiries. Only the account holder uses it: tenants and applicants never log in, and nothing is sent to them from the app.

Your account: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), the name and company you enter, your language and preferences. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google email address and name.

What you add: properties, rooms, tenants' names and contact details, tenancies, payments you record, deposits, repairs, documents you upload and rental enquiry emails you import. These may include personal data about your tenants and applicants.

Technical data: sign-in sessions and the basic logs our hosting providers keep to run and protect the service.

For your account data, we are the controller. For the data you add about tenants, applicants and, if you are an agency, the property owners you work for, you are responsible for it (as controller, or acting for your client) and we act as your processor: we use it only to provide the service to you, on your instructions, as set out in our Terms of Service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to keep that data and for telling those people how you use it.

To provide the service you signed up for (performance of our contract with you).

To keep it secure and prevent abuse (our legitimate interest).

To meet legal obligations, such as keeping billing records (legal obligation).

To send you messages about your account and the service. We do not send marketing without your consent.

We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or score, rank or make automated decisions about applicants or tenants.

Supabase: database, sign-in and private file storage, hosted in the European Union (Ireland).

Cloudflare: hosting and network delivery of the app.

Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Our email provider: to send sign-in and account emails.

When paid plans start, a payment provider will process your billing details; we will name it here before then. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; when they do, it is under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your workspace and files are deleted, and removed from backups within 30 days. Billing records are kept for six years, as Irish tax law requires.

Data travels encrypted. Each account's workspace is isolated at database level, so no other user can read it, and uploaded documents are stored privately. The exception is a public property link you create: anyone with it sees what you chose to include, until you turn it off. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you without undue delay.

We use only what the app needs to work: your sign-in session, language and display preferences. No advertising or tracking cookies. The public demo keeps its sample data in your own browser only. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to restrict or object to how we use it. Write to team@getpropgest.com; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). Tenants, applicants or owners who ask us about data a landlord or agency keeps in Propgest will be referred to that landlord or agency.

Propgest is for adults and businesses managing rental properties. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. The date at the top shows the current version.
